The bedtime story framework that's crushing it on Threads

My kid just exposed why 99% of business content is hot garbage.

friend!

Last week, I'm reading "The Three Little Pigs" to my 4-year-old for the 847th time.

He stops me mid-story: "Daddy, why didn't the first pig just ask the wolf what he wanted?"

I'm like, "Because then there wouldn't be a story."

But later, after finally getting my 3-year-old twins to sleep, it hit me like a freight train.

My kid just exposed why 99% of business content is hot garbage.

No conflict = no story = no one gives a damn.

I went down a rabbit hole analyzing every bedtime story we own. They ALL follow the same structure that makes social posts blow up.

And this is the framework I teach all my clients!

The Story Flow Engine (straight from the nursery):

1. Frame (The "Once Upon a Time") Open with a moment that makes your audience think "Oh shit, that's me."

"It was 10PM. Stranded downtown. Rain pouring. Surrounded by garbage. No bus in sight."

2. Shift (The "But Then") Drop the moment everything flipped. The plot twist that changed the game.

"That night, I realized this couldn't be life."

3. Flow (The "Happily Ever After") Connect your transformation to their possibility. Show them the promised land.

"Now I run a business from anywhere no bus schedules, no burnout."

Here's the trick: Bedtime stories create tension, then resolve it with a lesson that sticks.

Most social posts skip straight to the moral without the struggle. Boring.

Your audience doesn't want your wisdom—they want your war stories.

Your homework: Take your next post. Add some wolves. Create conflict before you drop knowledge.

Watch your engagement explode.

Sometimes a 4-year-old asking obvious questions can save your content strategy.
