I struggled with this

Imposter Syndrome

I almost didn’t send this.

That little voice in my head?
It was screaming.

  • Who’s gonna listen to you?

  • You’re not an expert.

  • Someone else already said this—better.

Ever felt that? Yeah, me too.

And for a long time, I let it stop me.

I held back. Overthought. Deleted posts before hitting publish.

But then I realized something…

People don’t connect with “experts.”

They connect with stories.

Not perfectly polished, over-edited, corporate fluff.
Not copy-paste advice that sounds like a ChatGPT script.
Real, messy, human stories.

That’s what makes people stop scrolling.
That’s what makes them trust you.
That’s what makes them buy from you.

Think about the last time something grabbed your attention.

Was it a step-by-step strategy breakdown?

Or was it someone saying,
"Here’s what I struggled with, and here’s what I learned.”

You don’t need to be the smartest person in the room.
You just need to be real.

Tell the story.
Share the lesson.
Watch what happens next.

Need ideas? Steal these:

1️⃣ A mistake you made in your business and what it taught you.
2️⃣ A time you almost quit, and what kept you going.
3️⃣ The worst advice you’ve ever heard in your industry (and why it’s wrong).

You don’t need to be perfect.
You just need to hit publish.

Talk soon,

Stephen

P.S. Your audience doesn’t need another expert.
They need someone who gets them.
That’s you.
Now go write the post.
