I shared my story, now what? Share it again (and again)
Here's the truth: There are always people hearing your story for the first time.
"Stephen I already told my story. What's next?"
I get this question every week, friend. Founders, coaches, creators think once they've shared their origin story, they're done. Move on. Find new content.
Wrong.
Here's the truth: There are always people hearing your story for the first time.
Let me prove it. Here's mine:
I quit my 9-5 because they hired someone I had to train and paid them more than me. I was working two remote jobs, helped build both companies from the ground up. Then got fired from both.
friend, you see: I've told this story dozens of times. And every time, I get messages like:
"I had no idea you went through that."
"This is exactly what I needed to hear today."
"How have I never heard this before?"
The storytelling lesson everyone misses: Your story isn't content you use once, it's content you remix endlessly.
Same core story. Different angles:
Monday: The lesson about resilience
Wednesday: The framework I built from the experience
Friday: The mistake I made that led to it
Next month: How it connects to current events
Here's what I wish someone told me: Your audience isn't studying your content catalog. They're living their lives, scrolling when they can, catching pieces of your story as they go.
Stop retiring your best material after one post.
So friend! What's the story you're tired of telling? Share it again. There's someone who needs to hear it today for the first time.
Your greatest hits deserve an encore.
Have an amazing weekend. Cheers from beautiful Jamaica!!!
Stephen
