I See This Over and Over
I used to be like that too.
Hey friend,
I see this over and over.
Creators swiping someone else’s approach.
Copying their voice, their style, their vibe
and forgetting who they’re really talking to.
I used to do this too.

I’d scroll my feed, find a killer post,
and think, “That’s my ticket to more engagement.”
So I’d mimic their flow, their wording,
their entire strategy.
But, and this is a BIG BUT,
That creator? They’re not serving your audience.
They’re serving theirs.
When you lift their style, your followers notice.
It feels forced. It feels off.
Your engagement flatlines.
The people who follow you want your take.
They want your perspective.
They want your stories, challenges, and quirks.
So how do you fix this?
Step one: Start listening to your audience.
Ask what they want.
Find out what keeps them up at night.
See where they need guidance.
Step two: Speak to them.
Not to the ghost of some other creator’s fanbase.
Not to a general crowd of “maybe this will go viral.”
But to the real people who already vibe with you.
Step three: Own your style.
Experiment. Tweak. Test.
But keep it yours.
I promise, once you do that?
It stops feeling like work.
It starts feeling like real connection.
And that’s when people lean in.
See you on Monday, and have an awesome weekend!!
