A solopreneur, a storyteller & an AI bot walk into a bar...

The real problem is way more uncomfortable.

In partnership with

Quick question friend!

If I asked you who’s going to win in business over the next few years…
most people would say the AI.

Makes sense, right?

Faster.
Cheaper.
Never tired.
Never distracted.

Now…

If I asked you who usually loses in that same story, would you know?

Probably not.

Because it’s not the AI.
And it’s not the storyteller either.

It’s the solopreneur who never learns how to name the real problem.

Here’s the thing nobody wants to say out loud.

AI isn’t scary.
What’s scary is sounding like everyone else using it.

That’s the villain in this story.

Not the tech.
Not the tools.
The sameness.

The copy that feels hollow.
The posts that say nothing while saying a lot.
The “value” that doesn’t move anyone to do anything.

And humans?
We react way more to struggle than to solutions.

Always have.

That’s why you remember the villain in movies.
Not the side characters.
Not even the hero sometimes.

You remember the tension.
The obstacle.
The thing standing in the way.

Same thing in business.

People don’t buy because your tool is better.
They buy because you articulated a problem they already feel but couldn’t name.

That’s where storytelling comes in.

The storyteller makes the confusion the enemy.
The hesitation the enemy.
The “I know I need to change something but I don’t know what” feeling the enemy.

The solopreneur who skips that part
ends up shouting features into the void.

The solopreneur who gets it
uses AI to amplify the story
instead of letting AI replace it.

Same tools.
Very different outcome.

Because tools don’t create trust.
Stories do.

AI won’t replace you.
But it will expose you.

It’ll expose weak positioning.
Shallow messaging.
Businesses that never learned how to step into the conversation already happening in someone’s head.

Make the problem the villain.
Make the reader the hero.
Use the tools to move faster, not emptier.

That’s the real story.

Till next time,
Stephen

P.S. If you’re worried AI is making your work irrelevant, it’s probably just showing you where your story needs more teeth.
